Research Update: Acoustic Bat Monitoring at Tandy Hills Natural Area
Friends of Tandy Hills Natural Area is pleased to share two newly released reports that document recent bat monitoring efforts conducted at Tandy Hills. These studies contribute to a growing body of data on species presence, habitat use, and conservation needs within the region.
Together, these documents provide a detailed overview of acoustic monitoring methodologies, findings on bat activity, and the broader implications for biodiversity conservation in North Texas. The reports also illustrate how collaborative initiatives between landowners, scientists, and volunteer naturalists strengthen long-term monitoring and research.
We invite researchers, educators, and community members to review these findings as part of our ongoing commitment to advancing ecological knowledge and stewardship of Tandy Hills.
